The City of Syracuse utilizes odd/even parking (meaning you should park on the side of the street with odd addresses), in many locations throughout the city. Prohibited Parking

For the safety of the community and to maintain visual appeal of properties, vehicles may not be parked in/on the following locations: sidewalks, between the sidewalk and the curb, blocking an entrance to a driveway, within 10 feet of a fire hydrant, or on any lawn or bare ground.
